The Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center-Northeast ADA Center, which has been awarded a $5.5 million grant over five years by the Education Department's National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation, is in the Employment and Disability Institute of Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. The center has an overall staff of five and serves New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

DBTAC staff members provide training, technical assistance and informational materials on the ADA throughout the assigned region. The center serves as a neutral resource for employers, businesses, educational entities, disability rights advocacy groups and private individuals with disabilities.
