Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Workers at American Axle & Manufacturing 's Delavan Avenue plant are being offered early retirement buyouts that the company needs to trim workforce at the plant.Union and rank-and-file sources tell WBEN that the offers are designed to replace high cost workers with lower wage ones. The company had been in talks to dispose of contract clauses that would force the company to pay 95 % of a worker's wages if laid off.
