(OTC:ENSY) (BULLETIN BOARD: ENSY) announced today the appointment of Mr. Ruben King-Shaw, Jr. as head of the Company's Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will be influential in seeking out strategic alliance partners and fortifying the Company's growth strategies. This announcement comes as the Company engages the services of Pan American Risk Management, LLC (PARMA) of Clarksville, MD.
Mr. King-Shaw is active in the health care industry serving as a senior partner in such firms as Mansa Equity Partners and Pinecreek Healthcare Capital, as well as serving as an advisor to some of the sector's most innovative companies, including Athenahealth, Inc., PulseMD and beginning in January 2007, ExactCost Inc. Mr. King-Shaw, alongside partner JR Murray, are the founding partners of PARMA and together provide both financial advisory and government relations counsel to health care companies. PARMA is also involved in health system improvement, development and transformation projects for the public and private sectors in North America, Latin America and The Caribbean.
In addition to serving as a Director and Advisor to many companies, Mr. King-Shaw is also a Director of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. of Tampa, FL where he is part of the group that took the firm public in 2004. Wellcare has grown from an approximate $800 million market cap in 2004 to its current approximate market cap of $2.37 billion. In May of 2005, Governor George Pataki appointed Mr. King-Shaw to the New York State Commission on Health Care Facilities in the 21st Century, a broad based, non-partisan panel, which examines the needs and capacities of the health care system and makes recommendations to right-size hospitals and nursing homes.
Mr. King-Shaw has extensive expertise in health policy, economics and finance. He served in the George W. Bush Administration from 2001 to 2003 where he led many of the Administration's and HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson's health care initiatives as Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. In that capacity, he directed the day-to-day operations, fraud detection and policy development for the $500 billion Federal agency. Prior to joining the Administration, Mr. King-Shaw was the Secretary of the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The $11 billion dollar Agency was responsible for Florida's Medicaid, Health Quality Assurance, facility regulation, and managed care regulation activities. He was appointed to head the Agency by Governor Bush on December 30, 1998. Before entering public service, Mr. King-Shaw had fifteen years of experience in health care management.
