STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Native Staten Islander Robert C. Wilson, 82, of Toms River, N.J., a retired Consolidated Edison supervisor, died Saturday at home.

Born in Silver Lake, he moved to Toms River about eight years ago.

A graduate of St. Peter's Boys High School, Mr. Wilson served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Wilson worked for Con Ed for 40 years working on the installation of underground cable and retired as a supervisor.

He was a member of Local 3, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Mr. Wilson held certificates in labor-management relations from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.

He enjoyed sports, gardening and repairing cars.

Mr. Wilson's wife, the former Elizabeth Harvey, died in 1995 after 51 years of marriage.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. and William; two daughters, Sister Patricia Wilson, S.C, and Kathleen Buxton; two sisters, Agnes Rodin and Dorothy Grimaldi, and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be Wednesday from the Harmon Home for Funerals, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, both in West Brighton. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, also West Brighton.
