HEADLINE: Haworth Global Human Resources VP Retires; successor named

HIGHLIGHT:
New duties will begin in early April

BODY:
Nancy Teutsch, who has served Haworth for nearly nine years as vice president of Global Human Resources, has announced that she will retire from her position effective March 31. Succeeding Teutsch in her role will be Pamela Wright Armstrong, who currently works as Haworth's vice president of Business Development. She will begin her new duties on April 1.
"I am pleased for Nancy as she enters this new chapter in her life," said Franco Bianchi, president and chief executive officer of the Holland-based Haworth. "And I am also excited to welcome Pam to her new position. I have full confidence in Pam and the new energy she will bring to the role, but we will miss the steady leadership Nancy brought to our organization. I am pleased that Nancy will continue to lead some strategic projects here at Haworth on a part-time basis."
Bianchi noted that these changes in Haworth's leadership organization have been in the planning stages for many months. And they are being announced nearly two months in advance to allow for adequate transition time in both the Human Resources and Sales organizations.
Teutsch joined Haworth in 1997, after serving many years as a Human Resources executive with Ameritech. "She has been a strong advocate for our members around the world, and has immeasurably advanced the culture of our organization," Franco said. "Her talents, energy and positive attitude are appreciated throughout Haworth."
Wright Armstrong joined Haworth in 1995 as a market manager in the Washington D.C. area, and has steadily taken on more responsibilities in the organization -- including serving as an Area Sales manager in Washington D.C., a regional director for the Southeast sales area, and as a Regional vice president. She assumed her position as vice president of Business Development in November of 2004.
Prior to joining Haworth, Wright Armstrong gained extensive experience in business leadership, sales and design. She served as a sales executive with a Knoll dealership in Washington, D.C., worked in an independent sales representative firm in upstate New York, and spent seven years in designing corporate offices in New York City. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Technology, has completed Master's level coursework in Organizational Management at George Washington University, and earned a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell University.
"I am excited about my new role," said Wright Armstrong. "This is an exhilarating time to be at Haworth as we continue to drive the company forward. I have seen many different cultures and management styles. Building a collaborative culture with the ability to move fast to outpace our competition will be key to move our company into the future."
