Fox Rothschild appointed new leaders of several departments. Stephanie Resnick of the Philadelphia office now is chairwoman of the Litigation Department, Michael S. Harrington of the Exton, Pa., office is chairman of the Corporate Department and Stanley L Goodman of the Roseland office is co-chairman of the Labor and Employment Department. Also, Nicole K. Manning of the Roseland office was named to the board of directors of Cornell ILR School Alumni. She represents management in labor and employment matters.

Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry in Newark promoted Marc C. Pakrul to partner. Associated with the firm since 2001, Pakrul practices in the firm's Litigation Department.

Saul Ewing's Steven J. Picco was named co-chairman of its Environmental Department. The former assistant commissioner for the state Department of Environmental Protection and Department of Energy focuses on administrative, environmental and energy law, government affairs and land use in the firm's Princeton office.

Mandelbaum Salsburg in West Orange welcomed Casey L. Carhart as an associate in the Tax and Trust & Estates Department.

Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti in Morristown welcomed Jeffery A. Siedsma and Michael W. Starr as associates. Siedsma, who previously was with Budd Larner in Short Hills, joins the insurance and reinsurance group. Starr joins the commercial litigation group. He previously practiced with Coughlin Duffy in Morristown.

McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter has announced its summer associates. Joining the Morristown office are Alnisa Bell and Marissa Martini of Rutgers Law School-Newark, Kris Burfitt, Cristina DeFazio, Philip W. Lamparello, Valerie Pennacchio and Peter Saad of Seton Hall University School of Law, Patrick F.X. Fitzpatrick of Fordham University School of Law, Aileen McTiernan of Rutgers Law School-Camden and Lyndsay Valentine Ruotolo of New York Law School. In the Newark office are Elina Chechelnitsky of Fordham Law School, Amanda Jackson and Ashley Rose Vallillo of Seton Hall Law School and Riadh Quadir of Rutgers-Newark.

Genova, Burns & Vernoia's Red Bank office has relocated to Red Bank Corporate Plaza at 141 West Front St. The new, larger space is closer to the train station, linking it to the firm's New York City office and Newark office, scheduled to open September.

Gov. Jon S. Corzine submitted to the state Senate the nomination of Eric E. Martins to the South Jersey Port Corporation.

The New Jersey Library Association recently honored First Amendment litigator Grayson Barber with its Library Champion Award. A member of the NJLA's Intellectual Freedom Subcommittee, Barber has advised the association and libraries in New Jersey on the library confidentiality law, national security letters, internet filtering, legal requirements regarding subpoenas, unattended children, Patriot Act and meeting-room policies.

Simon Kimmelman, co-managing partner of Sills Cummis & Gross in Princeton and chairman of its creditors rights and bankruptcy reorganization practice group, received the Martin M. Gross Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service by Woods Services. He is the former board chairman of the nonprofit serving children and adults with special needs.
