Disability Business Technical Assistance Centers

Ten regional Disability Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTACs) provide information, training, and technical assistance to employers, people with disabilities, advocates for people with disabilities, and other entities with rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The centers are a central, comprehensive resource on ADA issues in employment, public services, public accommodations (private for profit and non-profit businesses), and communications.

Each center works closely with local business, disability, governmental, rehabilitation, and other professional networks to provide ADAinformation and assistance.

Programs vary in each region, but all centers provide the following:

* Technical assistance

* Education and training

* Materials dissemination

* Information and referral

* Public awareness

* Local capacity building

The DBTACs are funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) of the U.S. Department of Education.

Contact your DBTAC toll-free at: (800) 949-4232 (voice/TTY). Your call will automatically be routed to the DBTAC in your region. Or contact the DBTAC through the web at www.adata.org.

This directory is current as of OCTOBER 2006.
