The Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalitions, a binational coalition of U.S. and Canadian transportation agencies, was honored with the Institute of Transportation Engineers NY Upstate Transportation Project of the Year Award for the development and implementation of the Regional Crossroads Advanced Traffic Management System. The Crossroads System operates regional intelligent transportation elements on the local highway system to provide real time traveler information in Western New York.

Chase Information Systems, a Jamestown marketing and advertising agency, was awarded third place in the INM Impressario Project Contest 2005 for the Video CD-Rom project it created for the Weber Knapp Company, a Jamestown manufacturer.

Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations honored New Era Cap Co. and the Communication Workers of America Local 14177 with the Champions at Work Award in recognition of leadership in sustainable cooperative progress in the workplace. The awards ceremony and reception will be conducted on November 14 at 4:30 p.m. at Michael's Banquet Hall in Hamburg.
