Cannon Design named Eric J. Lindstrom and Raymond W. Schultz associate vice presidents. Lindstrom, a mechanical engineer, was the first Western New Yorker to receive LEED accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. Recently, Lindstrom worked on the project team for the new 73,000 square foot Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institutes Biomedical Research Facility in Buffalo. Schultz is a mechanical engineer with more than 11 years at Cannon. Currently, he is serving on a $75 million modernization project for the Blue Ridge Healthcare System in North Carolina.
E-3 Communications, a public relations and public affairs agency, named Brian A. Gould director of public affairs and public relations services for the agency's Buffalo Niagara operations. Most recently, Gould served as public affairs officer with the Erie County Water Authority.
Mass Mutual Financial Group appointed Joseph L. DiLeo co-general agent of its Buffalo office. Previously, DiLeo was managing partner at the Buffalo office of MONY. Also, the agency named John Lindstrom, Vince Ferraro, Christopher Sheldon, Ann Shaul, Syaed Ali and William Lobbins sales associates.
Eric Mower and Associates, a marketing communications agency, promoted Mary Beth Popp to director of its brand public relations practice. A graduate from St. Bonaventure University, Popp joined the agency in 1998 and rejoined in 2004 after spending two years with EMA client The Buffalo City Mission as director of advancement. Also, the agency promoted Gretchen Galley to associate creative director and Mike Agoston to production director for the brand promotion practice at its Buffalo office. With the agency since 1999, Galley is a graduate from Canisius College. Agoston joined EMA in 1998.
Goldberg Segalla named Jeffrey A. Carlino, Carrie P. Parks and Lisa D. Primerano associates in the Buffalo law office. Carlino, a graduate of the University at Buffalo, practices in commercial, construction and labor and employment matters. Parks practices in insurance coverage, commercial litigation, professional liability and ERISA matters. She is a graduate of the UB School of Law. Also a graduate of UB School of Law, Primerano concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate practice.
Lifetime Health Medical Group appointed Dr. David Hallasey to the medical team at the West Seneca Health Center, 120 Gardenville Parkway West. Hallasey is a graduate from Canisius College and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine.
The American Medical Association named Dr. Nancy H. Nielsen to her third term as speaker of the AMA House of Delegates. Dr. Nielsen, a board-certified internist, is a clinical professor of medicine and senior associate dean for medical education at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and interim chief medical officer and associate medical director for quality for Independent Health.
The Bank of Castile named Diane Torcello vice president and manager of the Batavia office. Torcello has more than 20 years of banking experience having previously served as vice president with Pavilion State Bank and Wyoming County Bank. Also, the bank appointed Tina M. Aquina assistant manager at the branch. Aquina has been with the bank for five years.
Pilot Air Freight, a transportation and logistics service provider, recognized Greg Belile with its Rookie of the Year award and Fred Kawa with the Gold Club Award. The Buffalo station received the Highest ILS Revenue Award among third-tier stations and third place ETS Tonnage award for its operations staff.
The Buffalo Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers named Bruce Supernault president for the 2005-2006 year. Supernault is district manager of Safemark Consulting/Lincoln Financial Group. Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations awarded the Buffalo Labor Studies Certificate to graduates Thomas Catras, IUOE, Local 17 and Stacy Pettigrew-Rose, CSEA at its 32nd commencement ceremony recently at the Hearthstone Manor in Depew. Also, the school awarded the Advanced Labor Studies Certificate to Irene Bailey, UAW, Local 846; Tina Destro, CWA; Daniel Power, OPEIU, Local 212; Kevin Schrader, UAW, Local 846 and Darryl Simmes, UAW, Local 846 and Major Certificate in Labor Studies to Francis Downey and Denise Szymura, CSEA, Local 815.
We Care Group, a Buffalo transportation, tours and travel planning service provider, named Paul V. Norton vice president of Fleet Services. Previously, Norton was with Jamestown Industrial Trucks and USF Red Star.
SLR Contracting and Service Company president and CEO Sundra L. Ryce was honored with the 40 Under Forty Award by The Network Journal Magazine at the eighth annual 40 Under Forty Achievement Awards in New York City recently. Ryce was recognized for her outstanding achievements and leadership contributions in the corporate, health and entrepreneurial arenas and her service to the African American community.
AXA Advisors financial professional Timothy Reed earned the Chartered Financial Consultant professional designation by the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
TVGA Consultants, an Elma-based engineering and surveying firm, promoted Kelly M. Thompson and Douglas R. Hagar to principals and Aaron C. Kennerly to project surveyor. Thompson, State Market Sector leader, has been with the firm for two years. She is a former state Department of Transportation traffic engineer with 20 years of combined experience in transportation engineering services. With the firm for ten years, Hagar is leader of the Private Market Sector and has 33 years of combined experience in land surveying. Kennerly recently earned Land Surveyor Licensing from the state and has served in the firm's Survey Department for 12 years.
